'Stung' is a zine I make each month. As a photographer and visual artist, it's a place for me to share artwork, photos and text. It's a way for me to connect through sharing ideas, art and music.
Each month's full colour issue has a different theme, which will either be a reflection on a topic I'm interested in, or feelings about the world around me and my experiences.
Issue #19 is 12 pages and features a mix of original illustration and writing about one of my favourite movies, Mandy released in 2018 and starring Nicolas Cage, and Andrea Riseborough,
Mandy is my favourite genre of horror. Existential, with a heavy dose of grief and trauma, it's absolutely incredible in so many ways.
I love making this zine where I can create art inspired by film, as well as write my critique and personal feelings about the ones that really resonate with me.
